A differential pressure sensor is installed on the secondary air system between the secondary air pump and the secondary air valve. This pressure sensor measures the differential pressure between the secondary air line and the environment and is used to diagnose the secondary air system.
A strain gauge is used for the pressure measurement and the measured voltage is output as an actual value to the engine control unit. The pressure sensor is connected via a 3-pole plug. The sensor is supplied with a 5V voltage from the engine control system.
